Description

Context Niger faces a complex and multidimensional humanitarian situation. In several regions, local populations face major challenges related to population movements, community tensions, and cross-border dynamics. The Diffa region remains particularly affected by the consequences of the crisis in the Lake Chad basin. In Maradi, the presence of approximately 35,000 refugees adds to the difficulties caused by migration flows from Nigeria.

These realities lead to forced displacement and large-scale migration, making Niger both a host country and a transit point northward, particularly toward Algeria and Libya. According to the 2025 Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO), an estimated 2.6 million people have needs in 32 of the 63 departments of the country, with 1.6 million expected to receive humanitarian assistance in 2026.

In this context, the NRC, present in Niger since 2019, strives to meet the needs of displaced populations.

To ensure the continuity of effective and quality implementation of its projects, NRC Niger is recruiting a Logistics Technical Assistant, to support the Logistics Department. This position is reserved for candidates of Nigerien nationality.
