Tigrinya Language Translator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Language Translator to join our team on a freelance basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately translating written content from English to Tigrinya ensuring the meaning and context are maintained. This role requires fluency in English and Tigrinya and a deep understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

A must have to be considered:

1. A Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
   
2. A working personal laptop and a good internet connection

Details about the role:

• Translate a wide range of content, including marketing materials, product strings, customer support communications, legal content, and other relevant materials.
  
• Conduct research to ensure the accuracy of business terms, jargon, and specialized vocabulary.
  
• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure quality and linguistic correctness.
  
• Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  
• Collaborate with other translators, editors, and subject matter experts to maintain consistency and coherence in translation projects.
  
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  
• Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  
• Maintain knowledge of industry-specific terminology and stay up-to-date with language and cultural trends.
  

Requirements:

• You have fluency in at least two languages, including the source language (English) and target language for translation (Tigrinya)
  
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both the source and target languages.
  
• You have strong cultural awareness and understanding of language nuances to accurately convey meaning.
  
• You have attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate translations.
  
• You have the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  
• You have good organizational and time management skills.
  
• You need to have your own computer and functioning internet
