Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Groups and SACCO Banking strategy in alignment with Retail Banking objectives to drive growth, revenue, and segment profitability.
- Expand and deepen relationships with Groups, SACCOs, cooperatives, and related institutions to enhance portfolio value and customer lifetime engagement.
- Lead the design and delivery of tailored financial solutions ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with evolving customer needs across the Groups and SACCO Banking lifecycle.
- Monitor market trends, customer insights, and emerging opportunities to position the segment as a leader in financial inclusion and innovation.
- Oversee portfolio performance management, including target-setting, analytics, arrears management, and implementation of initiatives to optimize returns.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, private sector actors, regulators, and industry bodies to support market expansion and segment advocacy.
- Drive customer experience excellence by ensuring effective service level agreements and seamless coordination across value-chain stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Groups and SACCO Banking team, fostering a performance-driven culture anchored on innovation, accountability, and customer focus.
- Ensure efficient planning and utilization of resources to support business delivery, capability development, and operational effectiveness.
- Strengthen governance, risk management, and compliance by identifying key risks, reviewing audit outcomes, enforcing controls, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
