Description
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry from a recognized institution, or or Bachelor of optometry and vision science
- Valid practicing license from the relevant regulatory body in Kenya.
- At least 3 years clinical experience in a busy healthcare setting (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work within a faith-based healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Diagnose visual problems and eye conditions.
- Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses (glasses and contact lenses).
- Detect and manage ocular diseases and refer complex cases appropriately.
- Provide patient education on eye health and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Participate in outreach programs and eye screening initiatives when required.
