Practical Action is seeking to recruit a Head of Programmes – Agriculture who will support our work through developing and managing innovative and high impact programs in selected rural areas of Kenya. Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for the agriculture programs’ delivery, and will lead in strategy development, coordinate business development, and oversee implementation, ensuring the programs are on time, on scope and on budget. The market systems development approach is at the core Practical Action’s programming and as such, the HoP will be responsible for overall programs’ performance and quality, ensuring that each program is catalytic in building resilience of the targeted populations in a sustainable manner.

The Head of Programmes will oversee and manage donor relations, consortium building and proposal development processes, ensuring that the organisation delivers high quality proposals. S/he will also work with the relevant leads to strengthen the organisational profile through a range of actions including brand proposition and communications
