Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Education, Environmental Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Community Development, Communication or related field;
- Have at least three (3) years’ experience in environmental education, community mobilization or conservation awareness programs
- Have experience working with schools, community groups and conservation stakeholders
- Poses strong communication, facilitation and report writing skills
- Have experience in knowledge management and documentation;
- Live near the above-mentioned sites and have good local knowledge of the landscape and its conservation challenges
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Resource Centre
- Coordinate and implement site-based environmental education and awareness-raising activities
- Conduct regular school-based environmental education programmes
- Organise and execute community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities
- Engage youth and women in environmental conservation
- Document and communicate project success stories, lessons learned and best practices
- Coordinate stakeholder participation in local, national and international environmental events, among other assigned duties.
