Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Security Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security management
- In-depth knowledge of security operations, risk management, and emergency response procedures
- Familiarity with Kenyan security regulations and best practices
- Valid security certification or license as required by Kenyan law
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using security management software and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Customer-oriented approach with a professional demeanor
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required
Respnsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the security team, ensuring adherence to company policies and local regulations
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate security measures to mitigate potential threats
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
- Monitor and analyze security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
- Investigate and report security incidents, violations, and suspicious activities
- Train and mentor security staff, promoting a culture of vigilance and professionalism
- Manage shift schedules and assignments to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections of the premises
- Liaise with clients, employees, and visitors to address security concerns and provide assistance
- Prepare and maintain accurate security reports and documentation
