Qualifications and skills
- Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Specialization or experience in Print Media/Journalism.
- Three(3) Years Teaching experience at the tertiary or university level will be an added advantage
- Must be registered with a relevant professional body in Kenya and possess a valid practicing license where applicable
- Proficiency in relevant media production and publishing tools is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or diploma courses in Print Media, Journalism, and Mass Communication
- Train students in news writing, feature writing, editing, layout and design, magazine production, and newspaper publishing
- Supervise student projects, attachments, and research work
- Participate in curriculum review and development to align with industry trends
- Establish linkages with media organizations for industrial attachment and collaboration opportunities
- Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and participate in academic conferences and seminars
