Reporting to the Director of Wholesale & Content, the jobholder takes the lead in business development & strategic partnership to drive the strategic vision for Telkom data centre & cloud strategy, including developing and implementing a smart hub landing strategy through managing and leading partnerships & commercial engagement.
The jobholder guides in managing the planning, development and implementation of the product portfolio in support of the Wholesale function within the Wholesale & Content department in order to deliver bespoke solutions to its clients.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Wholesale & Content, the jobholder takes the lead in business development & strategic partnership to drive the strategic vision for Telkom data centre & cloud strategy, including developing and implementing a smart hub landing strategy through managing and leading partnerships & commercial engagement.
The jobholder guides in managing the planning, development and implementation of the product portfolio in support of the Wholesale function within the Wholesale & Content department in order to deliver bespoke solutions to its clients.
- Responsible for developing and building strong and strategic business relationships with partners & clients to drive and achieve long-term goals and objectives for the organization.
- Identify critical assets and infrastructures required for the operationalization of Datacentres & Smart Landing Strategy and develop go-to-market plans and future expansion programs.
- Analyze current industry trends to identify business opportunities that would generate revenue resources and profitability.
- Guide the design & go-to-market of bespoke customer solutions (Smart Landing, Datacentres & Cloud, MVNO&E) to address the ever-changing wholesale clients’ requirements while leveraging Telkom’s products and services.
- Lead the strategy development and budgeting process within the department to meet the ever-changing business landscape.
- Develop opportunities for cross-selling and a strong collaborative eco-system within the wholesale market.
- Lead the development of business cases and any escalation packs aligned to Telkom policies and develop commercial solutions/terms and conditions with minimum risk in accordance with the overall financial strategy (for both new and existing product/services offering).
- Establish key KPIs, SLAs, metrics and measurements for tracking against industry benchmarks and standards.
- Monitor all regulatory compliance with information security, infrastructure and determine the applicability of current regulations and best practices.
- Develop & review the commercial structure of existing product & service offerings(local loops, backbone, IRUs, regional pricing, co-location and undersea cables) that will be used as a reference guide during bidding and price discussions with clients and partners.
- Oversee the billing, reporting and business analysis process of the division to ensure budget objectives are met and accuracy maintained.
- Guide the development of strategic marketing & communication activities to grow the brand visibility and brand equity for Wholesale.
- Provide leadership and proper management of day to day activities.
- Coach and mentor team to grow into successful team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT
- 4 + years in Commercial Management & Business development
- Unique skills: Stakeholder engagement & management, Business Case development, Technical Solution development
