  • The project is seeking to recruit an STTA Engineer on short term contract to support Engineering activities in the project counties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • It is expected that the team members must be able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment - with one team - one project concept. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, resourceful, flexible, independent, and energetic with excellent communications skills, cultural sensitivity and has demonstrated experience supporting technical assistance projects.

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Water, Agricultural, Environmental Engineering, or related Engineering fields.
  • Knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar is an added

  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Willingness to travel across project target counties

  • Technical Assistance: Work closely with project partners to provide technical support in the in design and construction of sanitation facilities.
  • Support in mentorship and coaching of trained installers and reporting progress.
  • Skill Development: Identify skill gaps among artisans, business partners and assist in developing training modules to fill these gaps.
  • Consumer Feedback Integration: Collaborate in integrating consumer feedback into product design to improve technical drawings.
  • Database Development: Contribute to the development of databases of artisans
  • Capacity Building: Assist in building the capacity of private sector actors to build and install high-quality sanitation products.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Contribute to project learning documents, reports, and day-to-day support of specific county engineering project activities.
