Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture; Master’s Degree in Agriculture (specializing in soil science) a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of agronomy work experience especially in the area of Cashew, soybean, groundnut and maize
- Extensive experience in large-scale mechanized farming operations
- In-depth knowledge of soil and crop principles
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding research and analytical skills

Duties
- Ability to provide subject matter expertise on crops
- Determine nutrient needs, advises and ensure the best treatment is provided to ensure maximum yield
- Remove pests and efficiently manage disease on the farm
- Create plans to maximize soil use and ensure land preparation is done as per standard
- Troubleshoot issues affecting the health of crops and ultimately the yield and addressing them proactively
- Providing advice on how to maximize yields and ensure standard yield for the seed to be used is achieved
- Ensure maximum productivity on all crops planted on the farm
- Protect the environment
- Responsible for keeping data on plant performance
- Responsible for ensuring standard agronomical practices are implemented on the farm
- Supporting, supervising and training of farm workers
- Liaison with research agencies and consultants in supporting crop quality and all research activities carried out on the farm
