Description
A Mobility Solutions Intern is an entry-level professional who supports the coordination of employee movement across locations within a multinational organization. Under supervision, the intern assists with administrative and logistical tasks related to relocations, international assignments, and expatriate programs, including documentation, case tracking, and employee communication, while gaining hands-on experience in global mobility operations and compliance.

  • Employee Support: Assist in providing basic guidance to expatriates and their families before, during, and after assignments by sharing resources, answering common questions, and escalating complex concerns to senior team members.
  • Housing and Relocation: Support the coordination of housing searches, moving services, and shipment logistics by liaising with vendors and tracking progress.
  • Data Management: Help maintain accurate records of mobility cases, expenses, and compliance documents, and support report preparation and data tracking.
  • Site Visits: Support the coordination of site visits, including preparing invitation letters, arranging logistics and accommodation, and assisting with visitor support where required.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Assist in communicating with internal teams such as HR, finance, and operations to ensure smooth coordination of mobility activities.
  • Repatriation: Provide administrative support for repatriation processes, including documentation and coordination of return logistics.
  • Communication: Maintain regular updates with relocating employees and relevant departments, ensuring timely information sharing and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas and feedback to improve mobility processes and assist in gathering data for program reviews.
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, International Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Ability to Work Independently: Demonstrates reliability and the ability to manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision, while remaining effective in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Cultural Awareness: Shows openness to learning about different cultures and an understanding of the challenges employees and their families may face during relocations, enabling supportive and respectful interactions.
  • Basic Problem-Solving Skills: Able to identify issues, suggest practical solutions, and escalate complex relocation or logistics challenges to senior team members when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with employees, vendors, government authorities, and other stakeholders involved in the mobility process.
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of Kenyan immigration laws, labor regulations, and tax implications related to expatriate assignments is crucial.
