As a Assistant Wellsite Drilling Fluids Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting tests to adjust fluid properties, collaborating with the drilling team, managing fluid-related costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
You will be responsible for:
Providing onsite services by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific recommendations for controlling fluid properties.
May make sales calls on the field and field office level or accompany Sales Representative performing the same function.
May train and direct work of entry level engineers.
Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal, Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
Have a least 5 year’s experience with in-depth knowledge of Drilling Fluids products and services
Able to identify the proper product and service for simple to complex applications.
Have the ability to work in a global matrix organization.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Have exceptional organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
Have the ability to travel (potential for travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, trainings, etc.).
