To be successful in this role, you must have atleast 3 years of full-time relevant professional experience in Gender, focused program implementation, preferably in agriculture, climate resilience or community development projects. Moreover, we expect the following.
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development studies and or related fields.
Strong understanding of gender dynamics within rural and refugee affected areas, particularly in the context of Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and environmental management.
Proven experience in facilitating community training, dialogues and working with diverse stakeholders, including local authorities and cultural leaders.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and advocacy skills
Sensitivity to the needs and priorities of different sectors of the community, tradition, culture, beliefs and refugee/host community hierarchical structures.
Experience with donor-funded projects and international Non-Governmental Organizations
Relevant work experience from Northern Uganda.
