  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping
  • Experience in internal audits or compliance testing
  • Familiarity with Aruba tax and statutory requirements is a plus

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the general ledger, including preparing, reviewing, and posting routine and non-routine journal entries (accruals, adjustments, corrections).
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank, AR, AP, intercompany, prepaid/accruals, fixed assets, and clearing accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct internal audit activities, including process audits, SOX/internal control testing, and compliance checks; track remediation actions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance analysis, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections, ensuring shipping invoices are accurately reconciled with Bills of Lading, shipments, and contracts.
  • Oversee accounts payable, vendor reconciliations, and payment runs; ensure proper cost allocation to shipments and projects.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation calculations and asset disposals.
  • Support payroll processing and statutory filings, or liaise with external payroll providers to ensure compliance with Aruba regulations.
  • Assist with tax return preparation and provide documentation to external advisors (turnover tax, wage tax, corporate filings).
