Description
Westlands Specialist Hospital is seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to prepare nutritious, hygienic, and timely meals for patients, staff, and visitors in line with hospital standards.

Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Food Production/Culinary Arts preferred
  • Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a hospital or institutional setting
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Ability to work shifts and under pressure
  • Team-oriented and dependable


Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary requirements
  • Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety
  • Follow special diets as advised by clinical and nutrition teams
  • Properly store food and manage kitchen inventory
  • Clean kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Comply with health, safety, and infection-control standards
  • Support timely meal service across hospital units
