Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Executive – Maternity, Newborn Unit, NICU & PICU to drive revenue growth and clinical adoption of specialised maternal, neonatal and paediatric care solutions. The role will focus on incubators, radiant warmers, phototherapy systems, neonatal ventilators, patient monitors and related critical-care equipment, working closely with clinicians, biomedical teams, procurement and hospital management to deliver solutions that support safe childbirth and quality care from delivery through NICU and PICU.

Key Position Accountabilities.
  • Achieve revenue, margin, and unit targets for the Maternity, New Born, NICU & PICU portfolio (infant incubators, radiant warmers, phototherapy units, neonatal ventilation and monitoring solutions, resuscitation equipment, and related maternity support systems).

  • Develop deep account strategies for major maternity hospitals, Level 4/5 facilities with NICU/PICU capacity, private specialised centres, and county referral hospitals expanding neonatal services.

  • Engage neonatologists, paediatricians, midwives, NICU/PICU nurse managers, and biomedical teams to understand clinical protocols, patient volumes, and infrastructure gaps; propose fit-for-purpose equipment solutions.

  • Organise and deliver clinically relevant demonstrations and evaluations of neonatal and maternity equipment, including temperature management, phototherapy efficacy, and ventilation modes suitable for neonates and infants.

  • Craft detailed technical and commercial proposals that address clinical outcomes, total cost

    of ownership, training needs, and phased implementation aligned to hospital budgets and donor/project funding where applicable.

  • Lead or support tender processes for public sector and development-partner funded projects related to maternal and newborn health equipment, ensuring full compliance and competitive positioning.

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with key clinical influencers in eonatology,paediatrics, and midwifery, as well as hospital leadership and procurement.

  • Coordinate closely with biomedical and applications teams for installation, commissioning, clinical training of nursing and medical staff, and post-installation support, with particular attention to high-dependency neonatal environments.

  • Identify opportunities arising from hospital expansion, new NICU/PICUconstruction, or equipment lifecycle replacement; convert these into pipeline and closed business.

  • Monitor maternal and neonatal health policy developments, funding programmes, and competitor activity; feed insights into commercial strategy.

  • Maintain rigorous pipeline, forecast, and activity discipline; support revenue assurance through accurate documentation and collections follow-up on assigned accounts.

  • Represent the client at neonatal, paediatric, and midwifery conferences, training workshops, and stakeholder forums focused on newborn survival and quality of care.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Neonatal/Pediatric Nursing, Clinical

  • Technology, Midwifery, or related field.

  • Minimum 4–6 years technical sales experience in medical equipment, with strong preference for proven exposure to neonatal, maternity, or pediatric critical care equipment.

  • Demonstrable success selling specialized capital equipment into maternity and neonatal units in Kenya or East Africa.

  • Solid understanding of neonatal thermoregulation, phototherapy, and basic neonatal respiratory support principles.

  • Valid driving license and readiness for extensive field travel.
