a) An earned PhD in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university

b) At least five (5) years teaching experience at JKUAT as a Lecturer / Research Fellow, Grade 12

c) Successfully supervised to completion since appointment at JKUAT as Lecturer / Research
Fellow, Grade 12

:
i) One (1) PhD thesis OR

ii) Four (4) Masters’ thesis OR

iii) Eight (8) Masters projects

d) Published at least three (3) papers in peer referred journals or three (3) chapters in a university
level book or one (1) book since last promotion as Lecturer / Research Fellow, Grade 12:

e) Registered /Certified with a relevant professional body in one’s area of specialization (where
applicable)

OR

a) Masters’ and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy and Architecture in the
relevant field from an accredited and recognized university

b) At least eight (8) years teaching experience at JKUAT as Lecturer / Research Fellow, Grade 12

c) Successfully mentored at least two (2) graduates to professional registration as practicing
professionals since appointment at JKUAT as Lecturer / Research Fellow, Grade 12

d) Registered / certified with a relevant professional body in one’s area of specialization
