Valid driver’s license
Experience from working as a driver in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

Responsibilities
The driver shall strictly follow the Nigerian traffic law, rules and speed limits and shall drive in a safe and defensive manner.
In the event of an accident, the driver shall ensure that all steps, rules and regulations are followed, including filling in the incident report.
The driver is responsible for cleaning and performing the daily check on the vehicle and shall ensure that it is in a safe running condition. He/she is also responsible for checking the oil level, water level, batteries, brakes, tyres, etc; and that the vehicle is at all times equipped with a first aid kit, a good spare tyre and all prescribed tools and equipment. He/she will report promptly and in writing to NRC is some tools are missing.
The driver is responsible for logging in (on the logbook) all trips and ensuring that other drivers that may use the vehicle do the same.
The driver should ensure that the fuel tanks as a rule should always be completely full, if possible, and the quantity of litres dispensed should be properly recorded in the logbook.
The driver shall ensure that all required licenses, insurance cards and vehicle permits are valid and available in the vehicle including accident reports. He/she must also ensure that own driving license and other relevant driving papers are up to date.
The driver shall follow the instructions provided in the NRC’s Driver Manual.
The driver is responsible for performing minor repairs if needed while major repairs should be reported to the supervisor before planning.
