About the role

Turaco's head office in Uganda is looking for a Partnerships Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial and strategic relationships with organizations in accordance with their overarching objective, goals, and strategies. The demands and scope of this role involve all phases of partner stewardship: including onboarding; partner stewardship; solution delivery; reporting and renewal.
The successful candidate will support strategic partnerships to extend the reach of Turaco to target customers in dedicated regions; extend exposure; increase uptake of Turaco’s products with targeted partners while at the same time enriching ownership of the product on the partners’ side. They will work closely with the Partnerships, Products, and Marketing teams to create a value proposition for our customers and partners. The incumbent will be reporting to the General Manager.
They are looking for someone who has proven experience in developing and executing go-to-market plans, managing multi-sector high-value B2B2C partnerships and leadership experience.

Success, as it pertains to this role, is measured by how many end consumers Turaco acquires through any given partnership.

What you will be doing
  • Business Development. You will proactively identify business opportunities to cultivate and grow the new business from existing partnerships.

  • Partner Relationship Management. You will develop and manage high-value partner relationships at the executive level with assigned local partners and coordinate with other internal teams to do so when needed.

  • Partnership Launches. You will manage all end-to-end pre and post-launch activities of newly onboarded partnerships by supporting the team in translating new partnership SLAs and developing and implementing communication and reporting protocols.

  • Pilot Management. You will project manage pilots with new and existing partnerships by training and managing pilot resources, field teams, and call center resources, creating pilot schedules, KPIs, and reporting protocols.

  • Reporting. You will ensure that all partners receive regular and accurate reports from TURACO while ensuring that it is captured in their in-house system, TACO.

Must-Haves
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in any business-related field.
  • You have senior-level experience in managing multisector, high-value B2B2C partnerships, built on a strong relationship management capability.
  • You are a highly collaborative and proven team leader with strong people management skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • You are a strategic thinker and a pragmatic executer with proven experience in developing and executing go-to-market plans.
  • You can demonstrate the ability to present to and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
Nice-to- Haves
  • You have knowledge of or experience in insurance.
  • You have the ability to create and take part in marketing initiatives.
