The Sales Coordinator plays a key role in driving the VMG’s growth. The Sales coordinator will primarily be responsible for growing our Direct-to-Consumer arm of the business with a key focus on building our client base with the everyday Ugandan consumer. On a secondary level, the sales coordinator will also ensure that VMG is growing it’s base of retail customers (supermarkets, food and nutrition retailers) while maintaining efficient operations.  

Skills and Qualifications 

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in FMCG sales to retailers e.g Supermarkets 

  • Experience in a Direct to Consumer facing business is highly advantageous and desirable 

  • Operational experience with the ability to coordinate service delivery between different teams 

  • A Bachelor's degree 

  • Energetic and motivated 

  • Very analytical with good attention to detail  

  • Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.  

  • Ability to work seamlessly in a team-based environment 

  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision 

  • Solutions oriented with good problem solving skills

  • Building the Direct to Consumer client base by utilizing different prospecting channels; personal networks, real estate development contacts, referrals

  • Building affiliate reseller clients targeting supermarkets, food and nutrition retailers 

  • Ensuring smooth operations between the different functions within VMG to deliver constant value to your client base 

  • Delivering the goals set out in VMGs strategy and being able to suggest any potential pivots where applicable 

  • Relaying feedback concerning potential complaints or improvements from customers to VMG management 

  • Operating with the highest standards of personal integrity at all times.
