About the role:

We are seeking a passionate, driven and energetic Community Engagement Manager to establish and own relationships with Fuzu's customers - both career builders and employers.


Think of yourself as the ultimate Fuzu Brand Ambassador!
  1. You will be responsible to maintain Fuzu’s brand tone and voice to build engagement both online and offline.
  2. You will be the face of Fuzu and your role is critical in establishing a human connection with our online and offline communities.
  3. You will also represent Fuzu at public events at universities, conferences, networking events, etc.You will also be responsible for Fuzu's media relations, with the objective to ensure Fuzu receives representation in local and national media.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience managing community engagement; experience at a tech business/startup a strong plus!
  • Must be extremely energetic, with the ability to capture and maintain the attention of an audience.
  • Always up-to-date with latest trends, events and news making waves in the market.
  • Ability to "hop on the bandwagon" i.e. translate trends into community engagement topics for Fuzu's different target groups.
  • Highly creative thinker ready to contribute more broadly to Fuzu's marketing objectives.
  • Experience with managing communities on social platforms including Facebook, Linkedin, Whatsapp etc.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate and lead execution of offline community engagement and marketing activities.
  • Ability to seamlessly switch from speaking with a young career-builder audience to interfacing with CXOs / senior professionals at Africa's leading companies.
  • Ability to monitor and track performance across user engagement KPIs, and suggest improvements to engagement strategy when required.
  • Ability to set up and manage Fuzu's Influencer Marketing workstream.
  • Passionate about preparing organizations and career builders for success
  • A strong personal brand on social media; (5k+ followers) will be a plus!
  • A background in career services or job search will be a plus!
