WINGERsoft has an exciting opportunity for an IT and Sales Support Officer to join our team. The IT and Sales Support Officer plays a crucial role in driving customer satisfaction, sales growth, and product success by combining technical expertise with sales acumen.


About us

WINGERsoft Technologies Limited (WTL) is a private limited company established in 2008 in Kampala, Uganda by a group of talented and skillful Software Engineers. Today, WINGERsoft is a team of Information Systems experts providing Technology+Business solutions in Uganda and the rest of East Africa.


We are the founders of the SalesManager ERP/POS system designed to support MSMEs in organizing, tracking, and managing sales, purchases/supplies, inventory/stock, assets, expenses, consumables, cash flow, and books of accounts (balance sheet, income, profits, and losses statement and cash flow statement) with its multiple features. WINGERsoft has an exciting opportunity for an IT and Sales Support Officer to join our team. The IT and Sales Support Officer plays a crucial role in driving customer satisfaction, sales growth, and product success by combining technical expertise with sales acumen.

1. Technical Support:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers regarding the SalesManager ERP/POS system and other IT solutions offered by the company.

  • Troubleshoot software issues and offer effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Assist customers with software installation, configuration, and updates.

  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, or in-person meetings, providing timely and accurate technical guidance.

  • Collaborate with the development team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.


2. Sales Support:

  • Engage with potential customers to understand their business needs and explain how the SalesManager ERP/POS system can address their requirements.

  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of the ERP/POS system.

  • Assist in preparing sales proposals, quotations, and contracts for potential clients.

  • Follow up with leads and prospects to ensure timely communication and address any questions or concerns they may have.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify sales opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales interactions and customer information.


3. Product Knowledge:

  • Stay up to date with the latest features and enhancements of the SalesManager ERP/POS system.

  • Continuously expand knowledge of industry trends, competitors' offerings, and customer needs to effectively position the company's products and services.

  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer requirements and market insights.


4. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to foster loyalty and drive customer retention.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their business challenges and offering tailored solutions.

  • Proactively address customer concerns to ensure high levels of satisfaction and minimize customer exits.


5. Training and Support Documentation:

  • Develop training materials, user guides, and documentation to support customers in using the system effectively.

  • Conduct training sessions for customers to enhance their understanding and proficiency with the software.


6. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate regular reports and analysis on sales activities, including leads generated, and conversions.

  • Provide regular reports and analysis on technical support activities.


Requirements

  • Degree/diploma in computing/IT-related field.

  • Proven experience in supporting ERP/POS system(s) in a software product company.

  • Proven experience in sales preferably in a software product company.

  • Experience in URA-EFRIS system-to-system integration in Uganda.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Technical proficiency and customer-centric approach.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
