The upcountry sales executive requires undertaking marketing operations of Charms Uganda to
the different market and town centers. He/She should be able to identify business opportunities
by identifying prospecting customers and customers. They will have to research and analyze sales
and market options and approaching potential customers with the aim of gaining new business, as
well as maintaining good relationship with customers. Sales are basically target driven thus sales
executive should be persistent and have dynamic personality.
1 Identifying new sub-distributors
2 Making and identifying the need for Charms Uganda products in the market.
3 Promoting growth of distribution centers and identifying new distribution centers
4 Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls
and emails whichever is possible.
5 Gaining a clear understanding of client’s businesses and requirements for better business
6 Visiting various customers and checking on the assortment, distribution and visibility
7 Listening to customer requirements and thus fulfilling appropriately to make a sale
8 Ensuring Charms products are kept clean and well arranged in the respective supermarkets
9 Collecting orders to the various customers/supermarkets
10 Negotiating on price delivery and specifications with customers and managing expiries
11 Advising the customers on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
12 Maintaining the data base and contact numbers of all the customers for proper communication
13 Acting as a contact between Charms and its existing and potential markets/customers
14 Follow up on collections and submitting any cheque or cash collected from the customers to the
15 Meeting monthly targets as set by the Upcountry Manager
16 Receive reports from sales executives on day to day sales, out comes and field challenges.
17 Working closely with merchandisers to cross check products expiry dates and stock status
18Giving feedback for future buying and selling trends to superior
19 Manage expiries at the distributor warehouse and at the customers.
20 Oversee sales executives requests from the account department.
21 Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office and entering figures
into a computer system.
22 Monitoring the product process and movements in the respective fields
23 Promoting product advertising activities
24 Managing the sales and marketing budget on a day to day basis.
25 Conduct weekly team meetings and sharing best practices with sales executives on the sales
26 Representing Charms Uganda at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
