Job Title : Sales Officers

Reports to : Assistant Director Marketing

Purpose : Conduct regular marketing, research & surveys, on products and services and make recommendations on identified customer needs in line with the NICL’s business and marketing strategy.

Job Qualifications:

1. A Bachelors’ degree.

2. At least Certificate of proficiency in Insurance from any recognized insurance training college/institute

3. At least three years of working in sales in an insurance Company.

  • ·Proven good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • ·Proven good inter personal skills.

  • ·Knowledge in computer packages specifically Ms. Word, Ms. Excel and Power Point applications.

  • ·Ability to work as a team.

  • ·Preferably between the ages of 25 – 35 years of age.

Key Result Areas

1) Market, solicit for, and manage new customers in line with NICL’s marketing strategies, guiding policies and procedures.

2) Identify, and report marketing opportunities in line with NICL’s business objectives and strategies.

3) Review and assess new and emerging customer needs and level of marketability and profitability of products/services in line with NICL’s product and service expansion strategy.

4) Identify the Customer Service needs of the Company and generate periodic reports in line with the Customer Service Policy, Standards and NICL policies.

5) Follow up and give feedback on Customer inquiries, expectations, suggestions, complaints and compliments in line with the Customer Service standards, Strategy and NICL policies.

6) Collect and remit premiums to NICL, deliver receipts, policy documents to customers in line with operational policies and service standards.

7) Identify and recommend marketing strategies for NICL products and services in line with company targets and applicable guidelines.

8) Process, record and update new insurance policies, claims and cancellations in line with
service standards and operational guidelines.

9) Make technical quotations and make Sales presentations in line with product and service guidelines.

10) Any other duty that may be assigned to you.
