Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining updated inventory and overall maintenance of equipment and facilities within the designated work station
- Cleanliness, organization and general layout of the work station
- Responsible for issuing and receiving tools and equipments to and from trainers and trainees
- Reporting to section heads on delays, problems, materials equipment needed and progress on practical requisitions
- Preparation and assembly of practical materials
- Ensuring safety of the workshop and equipment
- Responsible for supervising and ensuring safety measures amongst trainees and any attachees in the workshop
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of equipment in the institute.
Requirements
- Craft certificate in Building Technology/Carpentry
- Must have at least 3 years' experience with a reputable institution or organization
- Must be computer literate
- Registration with Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) will be an added advantage
- Above the age of 25 years
