Description
Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:-
- Cleaning and Sterilizing laboratory glassware
- Documenting and receiving samples for analysis;
- Preparing laboratory reagents;
- Preparing and analyzing geological samples, gemstones; and
- Disposing of laboratory waste.
For appointment to this grade
A candidate must have a Diploma in any of the following fields:
- Applied Sciences (Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry), Laboratory, or Biotechnology from a recognized institution
