Job Summary
As a key member of the consortium’s Overarching Management Team, the Head of Programme Partnerships will have strategic and operational oversight of the We Lead programme, delivering on behalf of Restless Development for the consortium. They will lead a diverse, and geographically dispersed team, applying Restless Development’s focus on youth leadership and youth led development to ensure effective programme delivery. The Head of Programme Partnerships will make strategic links between the We Lead programme and Restless Development’s Youth Collective - ensuring that learning from We Lead is shared with young people across the globe. The Youth Collective enables youth civil society organisations, groups and networks to work together, access funding and resources, collaborate with and learn from others and to problem-solve common challenges. Members of the Youth Collective have been mapped to increase their visibility to funders and partners and provide more opportunity for connection
Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Performance of We Lead
• Ensure the high performance and overall consortium success of We Lead on behalf of Restless Development.
• Participate in relevant governance structures within the wider consortium, and ensure that internal Restless Development governance processes align with overarching consortium needs.
• Ensure quality standards and innovation through the programme are documented and shared across the consortium, Restless Development and the sector.
• Work closely with internal Restless Development stakeholders, including Global Leadership Teams and project staff. Report to the Programme Partnerships Director and SLT on progress against delivery.
2. Team and Relationship Management
• Ensure effective coordination with Restless Development and consortium staff at regional / country and head office levels.
• Manage monthly and quarterly strategic reviews, managing complex information flows from across the consortium.
• Facilitate access to specialist support across the consortium in support of strategic and operational excellence.
3. Financial management and compliance
• Ensure rigorous budget management, tracking programmatic spend and managing variance.
• Ensure compliance with key donor requirements - including sign-posting to standards and donor requirements, risk management review and reporting, and supporting preparation for due diligence, audits or donor visits as required
• Support efforts to identify and mobilize potential donors and funding mechanisms to grow and amplify the scope and results of the programme.
4. Other
• You may occasionally be required to work on weekends and/or public holidays, for which time off in lieu will be granted.
