Required Qualifications for the Position
▪ Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB)
▪ BLS, ACLS & ATLS Training
▪ Computer Proficiency.
▪ Minimum 2 years as a Medical Officer
▪ Registered with KMPDC with a valid practicing license
▪ Previous experience in a busy Hospital will be an added advantageMain Duties:
▪ Managing, stabilizing and treating all patients-both minor ailments and emergencies.
▪ Assessing the urgency and severity of presenting problems through history taking, examination
and investigation.
▪ Admitting, discharging and referring to specialists as appropriate.
▪ Referring for diagnostic, therapeutic and support services as required.
▪ Undertaking clinical and minor procedures in the unit.
▪ Participating in hospital rounds including fixing cannula, fixing catheters, reviewing patients, etc.
▪ Ensuring that all patients coming to the clinic are attended to within reasonable time
▪ Participating in the ambulance Services.
▪ Preparing weekly work/activity plans for review.
▪ Carrying out patient reviews and providing feedback to the respective consultants.
▪ Monitoring closely morbidity and mortality trends together with all the other health indicators.
▪ Participating in primary health care through counseling and outreach programs.
▪ Participating in continuous medical education programs.
▪ Carrying out other relevant or requested duties as may be required.
▪ Participating in quality improvement initiatives within the department and provide reports as required.
