Description

Requirements
  • Higher Diploma in Anaesthesia from a recognized institution.

  • Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC).

  • At least 2 years' experience in a busy hospital theatre environment.

  • Proficiency in intubation, spinal blocks, and emergency airwey management.

  • Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certifications are an added advantage.



Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-operative patient assessments, review medical history, and explain anaesthetic procedures and risks.

  • Administer anaesthesia (General, Spinal, Regional, and Sedation) based on patient needs and surgical requirements
  • Monitor patient vital signs and physiological functions during procedures and adjust medications as required.
  • Support emergency and resuscitation procedures and manage perioperative complications
  • Manage post-operative recovery and pain management protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive anaesthetic documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with the theatre team to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
