Requirements
- Professional qualifications in laboratory management, technical education, and experience that align with the size and type of laboratory operations being managed.
- Managerial capability to supervise the laboratory team, manage workload, and ensure compliance with QA and regulatory requirements effectively.
- Strong understanding of QA programs, proficiency testing, and data reporting in compliance with applicable standards.
- Familiarity with CNIC M-5090.1A qualifications and standards, or comparable regulatory frameworks.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with advanced technical or academic certification in a relevant field.
- Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.

- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain the requirements for the duration of deployment.
Responsibilities
The WTP Laboratory Director is responsible for overseeing the operations of the water treatment plant laboratory, ensuring compliance with quality assurance (QA) criteria, regulatory standards, and program requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing all aspects of laboratory operations, including oversight of testing, quality assurance, and reporting procedures.
- Ensuring that all laboratory personnel are trained, proficient, and capable of performing their assigned duties.
- Implementing and maintaining laboratory Quality Assurance (QA) programs to ensure all reported data meet required criteria and regulatory requirements as defined in CNIC M-5090.1A.
- Reviewing laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and applicable regulations.
- Overseeing the calibration, operation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Verifying that laboratory reports and data align with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Creating and managing staff training programs to ensure personnel development and compliance with operational standards.
- Monitoring laboratory proficiency testing programs and addressing any deficiencies identified.
- Preparing reports, maintaining documentation, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of laboratory functions and data.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections related to the laboratory.
