Description
The objective of the internship is to acquire professional knowledge, skills and experience.
The intern will receive a professional orientation on the areas of responsibility of the Portfolio Management Team in GIZ Kenya and be able to place this into the overall context of the company.
Responsibilities
Objectives & Tasks:
Gain an insight into the daily work of the Portfolio Management Team GIZ Kenya
Prepare and participate in meetings
Get to know the administrative and organizational regulations of GIZ
Work on topics that are oriented towards the specific tasks of the Portfolio Management Team under the guidance and supervision of a mentor
He/she will support two Portfolio Managers and the other members of the team (Communication, Gender / Do no Harm / Inclusion, Relocation)
He/She will support the communications desk with editing articles and writing meeting minutes.
He/She will support the relocations desk with various administrative tasks and visits to relevant government offices to aid and follow through in the concerned processes.
Get to know other areas of responsibility in the country office and possibly in projects implemented by GIZ (Hospitation)
Required qualifications, competences and experience
The applicant should have the following qualifications, competences and experiences:
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Fluent English language skills verbal and in writing
German language skills would be an added value
Good computer skills with standard Microsoft software applications
Self-motivated and well-organized team player
