Description
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in ICT support within a broadcast or media environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level ICT support to broadcast and corporate users.
- Manage and maintain broadcast systems, including playout servers, automation systems, video servers, and content management systems.
- Monitor transmission systems to ensure continuous and high-quality on-air output.
- Administer and maintain network infrastructure supporting broadcast operations (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers).
- Ensure integration between broadcast systems and IT platforms, including storage, archiving, and streaming systems.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance for broadcast and ICT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software faults affecting broadcast continuity and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and cybersecurity protocols to protect broadcast and corporate systems.
- Support live production environments, including studio, Master Control Room (MCR), and Outside Broadcast (OB) setups.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and technical workflows.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance, warranties, and technical support.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures for broadcast operations.
- Monitor system performance and generate technical reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and communications regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with emerging broadcast technologies, IP-based broadcasting, and digital media systems.
- Integrate systems with APIs and third-party applications as needed and contribute to code version control systems.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest web development trends and technologies.
