Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Infrastructure & Logistics

Engineering degree or equivalent in related discipline with experience in precommissioning within Oil & Gas
Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil and gas projects, with extensive multi-discipline precommissioning and Oil Gas construction experience
Good knowledge of Company General Specifications and/or previous experience with other major Contractors in oil and gas construction projects.
The ideal candidate shall be fully conversant with the applicable Oil and Gas Industry International Codes, Standards as well as best Industry Practices.
A good awareness of other disciplines. Significant responsibility in multi-discipline teams or projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Planning and Coordination:

Develop and update short-term plans and look-ahead plans for Electrical Facilities work in line with the overall project schedule.
Coordinate daily and weekly work fronts with site supervisors, discipline leads, and subcontractors to optimize resource allocation and the sequencing of activities.

Work Monitoring:

Track and monitor the daily progress of Electrical Facilities activities (Electrical Cabinet, Transformer, Distribution).
Monitor the status of critical equipment, long-lead items, and materials required for Electrical Facilities.
Ensure the tracking of engineering deliverables, shop drawings, and technical submissions.

Technical Support and Interfaces:

Assist site teams in resolving technical queries and clarifying construction details.
Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely handovers.

Pre-commissioning and Readiness:

Monitor pre-commissioning activities, punch list completion, and preparation for Electrical Facilities commissioning.
Verify the conformity of electrical systems before handover.

Communication and Reporting:

Serve as a communication liaison between Contractor and the project team.
Translate and clarify technical requirements, documentation, and meeting outcomes to ensure mutual understanding.
Prepare concise daily reports on progress, issues, and required actions.
Maintain accurate records of meetings, decisions, and follow-up actions.
