Legal Claims Intern
Description
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Assistant Manager Legal Claims, this role involves managing the review and processing of outstanding fee notes in line with executed SLAs and the Advocates Remuneration Order. The position supports recovery claims and reconciliation activities with service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process all outstanding fee notes according to the executed SLA and Advocates Remuneration Order.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation needed for processing fee notes and third-party claims.
- Assist in reconciling fee note statements with service providers.
- Help prepare, issue, and report on statements confirming closure of fee note accounts with service providers.
- Initiate and pursue recovery claims, including payment of fees claimed.
- Prepare recovery schedules and supporting documentation.
- Maintain a tracker for recovery matters and follow up accordingly.
- Assist with data entry, document management, and information retrieval.
- Review files and follow up on documents as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an insurance option.
- No prior experience required; foundational knowledge of insurance processes and procedures is advantageous.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements and insurance products.
- Sales and marketing management skills.
