About the Role
A leading U.S.-based Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to support its growing operations team. This role is ideal for professionals with 1-2 years of experience handling medical records within a law firm and a background in healthcare, nursing, medical administration, or related fields.
- Request medical records, bills, imaging, and supporting documentation from healthcare providers.
- Follow up with providers to ensure timely receipt of records.
- Track request status and maintain accurate updates in the case management system.
- Upload, organize, and review records for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify missing documents or discrepancies and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with legal and operations teams on case status updates.
- Maintain detailed documentation while handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
- 1-2 years of medical records experience within a law firm (required).
- Background in healthcare, medical administration, nursing, life sciences, or a related field preferred.
- Experience requesting records from U.S.-based providers is a plus.
- Familiarity with Litify, Filevine, Needles, SmartAdvocate, or similar case management systems preferred.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Medical records are requested, tracked, and uploaded accurately and on time.
- Follow-ups are proactive and well documented.
- Case files remain organized and complete.
- Internal teams have visibility into case progress and outstanding items.
