About the Role

A leading U.S.-based Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to support its growing operations team. This role is ideal for professionals with 1-2 years of experience handling medical records within a law firm and a background in healthcare, nursing, medical administration, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Request medical records, bills, imaging, and supporting documentation from healthcare providers.
  • Follow up with providers to ensure timely receipt of records.
  • Track request status and maintain accurate updates in the case management system.
  • Upload, organize, and review records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify missing documents or discrepancies and escalate as needed.
  • Collaborate with legal and operations teams on case status updates.
  • Maintain detailed documentation while handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of medical records experience within a law firm (required).
  • Background in healthcare, medical administration, nursing, life sciences, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience requesting records from U.S.-based providers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Litify, Filevine, Needles, SmartAdvocate, or similar case management systems preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
