About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our B2B commercial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic customer relationships, expanding into new markets, and leading the sales team to achieve business objectives.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with experience selling ingredients, food products, FMCG raw materials, industrial solutions, or manufacturing inputs to business customers.


Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

  • Identify and acquire new B2B customers within the bakery, confectionery, food processing, hospitality, and manufacturing sectors.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and strategic accounts.

  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline and ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

  • Drive market penetration and expansion into new geographical regions and customer segments.

Strategic Market Development

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.

  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, pricing movements, and competitor activities.

  • Recommend market expansion strategies and support business growth initiatives.

  • Identify emerging product opportunities and customer requirements.

Commercial Management

  • Lead pricing discussions and recommend competitive pricing strategies.

  • Negotiate commercial agreements and contract terms with customers.

  • Oversee quotation preparation, invoicing processes, and commercial documentation.

  • Ensure healthy profit margins while maintaining customer competitiveness.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Manage key customer accounts and maintain long-term partnerships.

  • Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and service issues.

Revenue & Collections Management

  • Take ownership of sales revenue targets and profitability objectives.

  • Monitor customer credit limits and payment performance.

  • Drive timely cash collection and minimize overdue receivables.

  • Collaborate with finance teams to improve collections efficiency.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and mentor Sales Specialists and other commercial team members.

  • Set performance objectives and monitor sales team productivity.

  • Develop sales plans and activity schedules.

  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Food Science, or a related field.

  • Professional sales training is an added advantage.

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience.

  • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory sales role.

  • Experience selling to manufacturers, bakeries, food processors, FMCG companies, or industrial customers is highly preferred.

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving revenue targets.

  • Strategic sales planning.

  • Business development and account management.

  • Negotiation and commercial acumen

  • Market intelligence and competitive analysis.
