Wilmar Flowers Ltd was incorporated in 1995 to export summer flowers grown by small and medium-sized farmers from Kenya. We are located in Thika town at Munene Industries.

About the Role;

The job holder shall be responsible for effective and efficient management of Small Scale farmers to produce quality summer flowers and development of New Products.

About the Role;

The job holder shall be responsible for effective and efficient management of Small Scale farmers to produce quality summer flowers and development of New Products.





1. Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual production budgets in line with the approved strategic plan and upcoming projects/ funding that arises in the production line

2. Prepare pre-planting schedules and budgets.

3. Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual planting schedules.

4. Preparation and implementation of scheduled activities for new product development in line with the NPD budget. Recommend adoption of products that have undergone establishment trials based on trial results.

5. Develop Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and annual production projections to offer guidance to the sales team to ensure a structured and reliable sales program to the customers.

6. Formulation, implementation, and review of production policies in line with the agronomic protocols.

7. Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems- Analyze on-floor performance using production data to look for bottlenecks and other problems.

8. Scheduling and conducting meetings with all registered groups/farmers to enlighten them on developing policies, Market status, opportunities, and threats.

9. Cooperate with other stakeholders that have a direct impact on the smallholders.

10. Developing annual growers’ recruitment plans and ensuring implementation.

11. Planning and organizing farmers’ field days, motivation, and reward schemes.

12. Determining the human resources required in the production line of operation to meet production targets in liaison with the Human Resources Manager.

13. Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.

14. Generate and distribute production reports

15. Approval of production expenses against the set guidelines.

Key competencies

1. Must have a degree in horticulture

2. At least 4 years of industry experience.

3. Must have a valid driving license

4. Experience in working with small-scale farmers (preferably from the tea sector) shall be an added advantage

5. Must demonstrate leadership and people management skills

6. Must be self-driven with the ability to identify problems and offer solutions
