Job Summary

Purpose

The role holder will be tasked with vehicle tracking administration, offering administrative support to branches and technicians in a timely and effective manner. The officer will ensure effective monitoring of the company's vehicle assets and generate informative reports to aid in management decision making. You will be expected to answer emails/voice calls and respond to technical and non-technical queries.
Qualifications & Skills
• A Diploma from a recognized institution in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or IT related field.
• At least 2 Years’ relevant experience in Fleet management, Car Track installation, support, maintenance and monitoring of car track gadgets.
• Have vast knowledge in GPS, GSM, and mobile transmission systems
• Attention to detail
• Conversant with report systems, vehicle tracking and Fleet Management
• Good communication skills
• Team player and result oriented
• Ability to supervise a team
• Discretion with ability to maintain information confidentiality
• Performing other duties as may be deemed necessary by the management.
Artisan certificate in electrical installation from TVET will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the vehicle tracking helpdesk, acting as the liaison between the branches, field technicians and other support teams.
  • Receive installation and removal requests from branches, and issue instructions to technicians.
  • Support technicians during the installation of tracking devices
  • Monitoring vehicles to ensure they are online all the time and identify those that need a check-up.
  • Provide efficient support and training to users on vehicle tracking equipment and procedures.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with company regulations by technicians.
  • Liaising with technicians, branch managers and other stakeholders to ensure all instructions are executed in a timely manner
  • Attend and participate in meetings to provide inputs, identify challenges and defined planned activities.
  • Ensure all Installations, servicing and replacing GPS devices on Company Assets (Motorbikes, Cars etc.) are done
  • Maintaining proper installation logs and submitting to assigned supervisor all with GPS tracking device installation connected information – Vehicles chassis number, plate number, make, model, colour, trackers IMEI number, Sim card number, installation date and place, other information as may be requested.
  • Contacting clients and organizing trackers service and/or replacement for vehicles whose trackers are malfunctioning
  • Delivering the highest-level professional service to the company clients while keeping trackers installation and service information strictly confidential.
  • Reporting all company-related expenses (Transport, installation-related expenses) in accurate manner.
  • Liaising with technicians to verify physical condition and location of respective motor vehicles including but not limited to conducting home visits for respective clients
  • Developing and presenting daily management reports.
  • Achieve the set targets in line with KPIs

Job Requirements

Required education: Diploma, Associate's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
