Description
he Quality Assistant monitors and inspects the production process across braiding, weaving, finishing, rolling, and packing stages to ensure all final textile accessories meet brand specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Process-Specific Quality Control
- Braiding & Weaving: Audit loom and braiding machine setups to catch tension issues, structural defects, missing threads, and pattern errors early.
- Finishing: Verify chemical treatments, heat-setting, dyeing consistency, and coating processes against the master sample and technical sheets.
- Rolling & Packing: Inspect final roll density, accurate yardage/meter counts, secure packaging, and correct barcode/batch labeling before shipment.
2. Inspection & Testing
- Conduct raw material, in-process, and final product inspections using AQL sampling standards.
- Test physical properties including width, thickness, pull-strength, and colorfastness.
- Log, tag, and segregate defective materials to prevent them from moving to the next production phase.
3. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate daily inspection reports, defect logs, and quality clearance certificates.
- Ensure all processes align with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety compliance regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1 year of QC/QA experience in narrow fabrics, ribbons, elastics, or textile accessories manufacturing.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of defects unique to braiding, weaving, and textile finishing processes.
- Tools: Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, fabric counters) and basic data entry software.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong color vision, and clear communication skills to report floor issues effectively.
