Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- At least ten (10) years cumulative relevant work experience, four (4) of which should have served at supervisory level;
- Master's degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Research or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Planning, Project Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Demonstrated merit in work performance;
- Membership to a professional body;
- Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya only for the successful applicants.

- Liaising with consultants, resource persons, and other stakeholders on education and assessment matters;
- Implementing performance management system in the division;
- Coordinating research programmes in the division;
- Identification, coordinating and managing the development of course content for training;
- Identification, coordination and managing resource centre personnel;
- Coordinating and managing educational assessment and training;
- Developing department’s work plan and budget;
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual divisional reports;
- Overseeing the development and implementation of an effective staff performance management system;
- Ensuring development and implementation of the training and development plan;
- Managing human, financial, and material resources assigned to the division;
- Collaborating with process owners and user departments to ensure delivery of quality goods and services;
- Promoting adherence to the Intellectual Property Rights policy.
