I. Acting as a first point of contact for callers, dealing with emails and phone calls by responding, passing on messages or highlighting them for the director’s attention.
II. Managing diaries and organising meetings and appointments, often controlling access to the director.
III. Reminding the director of important tasks and deadlines.
IV. Typing, compiling and preparing reports, presentations and correspondences.
V. Managing databases and filing systems of the director’s office.
VI. Implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systems as directed.
VII. Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients on behalf of the director.
VIII. Miscellaneous tasks to support the director, which will vary, e.g., ensure that the business is being run properly and complying with regulations or conducting research as needed.
