Description
Requirements
- Higher Diploma in Anaesthesia from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC).
- At least 2 years' experience in a busy hospital theatre environment.
- Proficiency in intubation, spinal blocks, and emergency airwey management.
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certifications are an added advantage.
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-operative patient assessments, review medical history, and explain anaesthetic procedures and risks.
- Administer anaesthesia (General, Spinal, Regional, and Sedation) based on patient needs and surgical requirements
- Monitor patient vital signs and physiological functions during procedures and adjust medications as required.
- Support emergency and resuscitation procedures and manage perioperative complications
- Manage post-operative recovery and pain management protocols.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive anaesthetic documentation and records.
- Collaborate with the theatre team to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
