About the role
We are looking for a Content Development Specialist to create engaging, youth-centered content that builds motivation, job readiness, and informed participation through articles, stories, examples and platform/social media assets. Also produces limited, information-only employer awareness materials that support inclusive hiring (without promotional intent).
Responsibilities
Develop youth-focused content: career guidance articles, short tips, success stories, and “how-to” resources aligned to the participant journey.
Produce content that is inclusive and accessible (plain language, disability-friendly formats, culturally appropriate).
Create editorial calendars aligned with program milestones, learning pathways, and recruitment cycles.
Collaborate with Youth Community Specialist to reflect real participant needs and protect privacy/dignity (ethical storytelling and consent).
Create limited, information-only employer materials (e.g., briefs, checklists) that encourage inclusive hiring, fair recruitment, and youth-friendly practices.
Support content distribution across platform channels and appropriate social media/community channels, aligned with safeguarding.
Monitor content performance (views, engagement, completion prompts) and iterate based on data and feedback.
Ensure content adheres to safety guidelines (no harmful advice, no risky referrals, no promotion of dubious opportunities).
Maintain a content library with version control and quality standards.
Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Education, or related field.
3 years producing digital content for youth programs, employability, or social impact initiatives.
Strong portfolio of writing and multimedia content preferred.
Excellent writing/editing; storytelling with safeguarding and consent.
Digital content production (basic design/video copy, CMS publishing).
Data-informed iteration; collaborative mindset.
