About the role

We are looking for a Content Development Specialist to create engaging, youth-centered content that builds motivation, job readiness, and informed participation through articles, stories, examples and platform/social media assets. Also produces limited, information-only employer awareness materials that support inclusive hiring (without promotional intent).

Responsibilities
  • Develop youth-focused content: career guidance articles, short tips, success stories, and “how-to” resources aligned to the participant journey.

  • Produce content that is inclusive and accessible (plain language, disability-friendly formats, culturally appropriate).

  • Create editorial calendars aligned with program milestones, learning pathways, and recruitment cycles.

  • Collaborate with Youth Community Specialist to reflect real participant needs and protect privacy/dignity (ethical storytelling and consent).

  • Create limited, information-only employer materials (e.g., briefs, checklists) that encourage inclusive hiring, fair recruitment, and youth-friendly practices.

  • Support content distribution across platform channels and appropriate social media/community channels, aligned with safeguarding.

  • Monitor content performance (views, engagement, completion prompts) and iterate based on data and feedback.

  • Ensure content adheres to safety guidelines (no harmful advice, no risky referrals, no promotion of dubious opportunities).

  • Maintain a content library with version control and quality standards.

Qualifications & experience
  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Education, or related field.

  • 3 years producing digital content for youth programs, employability, or social impact initiatives.

  • Strong portfolio of writing and multimedia content preferred.

Skills & competencies
