Description
Qualification and Experience
- First degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law or related field.
- Retired from any of the Nigeria Army Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force or Police).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in security operations, preferably within industrial or large facility environments
Skills and Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, and risk assessment.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating security systems and surveillance equipment.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical fitness and ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic Computer Skill
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to detect and deter unauthorized activities, security breaches, or safety hazards.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security staff and assist in training new guards.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action and documenting events accurately.
- Control access to premises, verifying identification and permissions for visitors, employees, and contractors.
- Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on security-related incidents, daily activities, and recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other departments as required.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Sectional Heads
