Person Specification
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school as a Registered Nurse with a valid license with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred.
  • Updated BLS, ACLS/ATLS certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, with progressive leadership responsibilities and demonstrated expertise in cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional techniques.
  • Customer focus, empathetic and emotional intelligence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organizational awareness and attention to detail
  • Teamwork and result oriented.

1.Manage and supervise the daily operations of the cardiac catheterization laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established protocols and standards.
2.Coordinate and schedule procedures, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and meeting patient care needs.
3.Collaborate with physicians, interventional cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to plan, organize, and implement Cath lab procedures.
4.Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Cath lab nurses, including performance evaluations, staff development, and scheduling.
5.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including maintaining accurate documentation, adherence to infection control protocols, and adherence to safety guidelines.
6.Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
7.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, ensuring safe and effective patient care delivery.
8.Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Cath lab technology, techniques, and procedures, and provide education and training to the Cath lab staff.
9.Manage the Cath lab supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring availability and proper functioning of all necessary items. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and open communication among staff members.
