Responsibilities

A 70‑person, private‑equity‑backed, growth‑stage software company providing infrastructure execution and management solutions for telecom and utility network rollouts. Our platform delivers real‑time visibility, analytics, and streamlined project closeout across large‑scale construction programs.

The company is scaling rapidly and expects significant organizational change over the next 2–3 years.

About the Role

We are seeking a high‑impact Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff to act as a strategic partner and extension of the CEO. This is a dual‑function role that blends executive‑level support with operational leadership and organizational execution.

This position goes beyond traditional administrative support. The selected candidate will help drive cross‑functional initiatives, enforce accountability, structure executive priorities, and ensure commitments across the business are executed efficiently.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments, demonstrates strong ownership from day one, and operates with clarity, discipline, and confidence at the executive level.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Chief of Staff Duties

  • Act as a proxy for the CEO in meetings by capturing decisions, driving alignment, and enforcing follow‑through.
  • Manage the company’s operating cadence, including leadership agendas, all‑hands preparation, and OKR tracking.
  • Lead and structure cross‑functional strategic initiatives (process improvements, change management, organizational scaling).
  • Hold senior leaders accountable for deliverables, deadlines, and execution.
  • Support preparation of board updates, executive summaries, and quarterly reporting.

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Track organization‑wide initiatives and identify bottlenecks or execution risks.
  • Translate high‑level CEO direction into clear action plans with owners and timelines.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable workflows and systems.

Executive Support

  • Manage complex, multi‑time‑zone calendars with emphasis on priority, efficiency, and energy management.
  • Coordinate global travel logistics, itineraries, and briefing materials.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for the CEO, filtering information and safeguarding executive focus.
  • Support expense reporting, documentation management, and administrative tasks for the CEO and select senior leaders.

Communication & Documentation

  • Draft clear executive communications, internal updates, and strategic summaries.
  • Maintain organized documentation and status tracking to ensure business continuity.
  • Prepare concise briefings and written inputs to support executive decision‑making.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or in a strategic operations role supporting senior leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication; clarity and structure are essential.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and enforce accountability without direct authority.
  • Proven capability to manage ambiguity, prioritize under pressure, and adapt quickly.
  • High judgment and discretion with confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn new tools rapidly.
  • Comfort working in a high‑growth, private‑equity‑backed environment.
  • Ownership‑driven mindset: resilience, accountability, and execution focus matter more than credentials.

Additional Notes

  • 100% remote role based in Kenya.
  • ⏱️ Occasional flexibility required to support global time zones (Australia) and rare travel‑related emergencies.
  • 💻 Render Networks provides secure company equipment only (no personal devices permitted).
  • 📈 First 6 weeks involve an intensive learning curve and hands‑on exposure🧪
  • 🚀 Role offers a fast‑track path to leadership, with possible future transitions into Strategic Operations, Customer Success, or Sales.
