Qualifications

  • Have a Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor of Science Nursing from a Recognized Institution.
  • Higher Diploma or Certificate in Nephrology/Renal Nursing.
  • Be registered and gave a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya. (NCK)
  • Have a Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience and at-least 1-2 years in a dialysis unit/critical care renal setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.
  • Competence in dialysis machine operation and renal care technology.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, compassion, and patient education abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
  • Operate and monitor dialysis machines safely and effectively.
  • Observe and manage complications during dialysis sessions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Educate patients on kidney care, diet, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain infection control and properly document patient care
