The Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial matters of the business. You will be working closely with Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Operating Officer to develop and implement strategies across the organization.



Responsibilities

The Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial matters of the business. You will be working closely with Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Operating Officer to develop and implement strategies across the organization.



  • Oversee the development of cash flow projections and bank balances ensuring availability of funds as needed.

  • Oversee the collection of financial and accounting information and the preparation of budgets, reports, forecasts, cashflow and consolidated profit and loss reports.

  • Development, implementation and monitoring of financial accounting and related systems. Set and enforce accounting policy, in addition to working with other departments to develop positions on best practices throughout the organization.

  • Ensure the application of sound principles, systems, and techniques in accounting for effective and efficient use of finances and assets.

  • Review and process income & expense reports.

  • Negotiate terms with suppliers, manage and communicate with debtors and creditors.

  • Prepare a weekly and monthly cash flow report to identify payments made and due to Suppliers and follow up on receipts expected from Debtors and any pending payments.

  • Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting data and options.

  • Oversee the project budgets.

  • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring, and controls.

  • Coordinate the development of company budgets.

  • Coordinate revenue collection and expenditures of approved budgets to ensure the prudent use of available funds.

  • Ensure that all transactions are as per accounting standards and systems for compliance.

  • Ensure financial issues and inquiries are addressed from internal and external customers to ensure satisfactory services.

  • Develop banking and supplier relationships and establish credit facilities to support operations business needs.

  • Ensure internal checks are carried out to ensure effective and efficient accounting practices.

  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.

  • Develop financial business plans and forecasts.

  • Develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections.

  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.

  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.

  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.

  • Preparation and coordination of the audit process.

  • Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns and maintain professional and productive relationships with relevant taxation authorities and officials.

  • Implement the recommendations by both the internal and external audits of the follow-ups and corrections of the weak points raised.

  • Ensure full and timely claim returns on the company’s VAT payments.

  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
