Description
What We're Looking For
- Experience in marketing, corporate communications, public relations, or a related role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, tone, and grammar
- Proven experience managing corporate social media accounts and creating engaging digital content
- Proficiency with marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Canva), with working knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
- Ability to distill complex technical or energy-related concepts into clear, persuasive, and audience-focused narratives
- Ability to collaborate with multicultural and geographically distributed teams
- High degree of autonomy and accountability (we operate within a hybrid work environment)
- Proactive, self-driven professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
- Strong cross-functional collaborator, capable of working across departments to ensure aligned and consistent storytelling
- Clear, structured communicator with strong organizational skills and sound judgment
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Draft, edit, and proofread insight-led content for various channels, including social media, blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and website copy
- Support the translation of complex technical and operational work into clear, compelling narratives that position BPS as a thought leader in Africa’s energy sector.
- Ensure the day-to-day management of BPS’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X), ensuring consistent brand voice and visual identity.
- Build and execute strategic content calendars aligned with business priorities and campaign objectives.
- Track engagement metrics and audience insights to continuously optimize performance and reach
- Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned with corporate goals and growth priorities
- Strengthen brand visibility and positioning across key markets through targeted storytelling and audience segmentation
- Partner with internal teams to craft impactful announcements, newsletters, and leadership communications
- Support employer branding initiatives that reinforce culture, engagement, and talent attraction
- Support the planning and coordination of webinars, conferences, and industry engagements that showcase BPS’s expertise and impact
- Amplify event visibility through pre- and post-event communications across digital platforms
