Minimum requirements

  • Bachelors in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Public Health Informatics, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in birth registration, civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS), data systems, or related domains.

  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting the design, implementation, and integration of large-scale national data systems.

  • Prior experience working with UNICEF, the UN system, government agencies (NPC, NIMC, FMoH, NBS), or development partners is an asset.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another local language is an asset.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Chief of Child Protection, UNICEF Nigeria Country Office, the Consultant will focus on three key pillars:Pillar 1: Data Interoperability and Vital Reg Integration (Core Focus)

Pillar 2: Decentralization and State-Level Technical Assistance (30 States)

Pillar 3: System Strengthening, Reporting and Capacity Building
