The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the company’s marketing and communication strategies, its brand voice and overall image. You will lead the development of key growth strategies, tactics and action plans primarily focused on strengthening the company’s market position. This is a hands-on role which will require you to develop, oversee and implement paid and organic multichannel marketing campaigns (both online and offline) with well defined KPIs, ensuring that performance goals are met.
This role reports to the Managing Director, and will be based in our Lagos office.

This is a hands-on role which will require you to develop, oversee and implement paid and organic multichannel marketing campaigns (both online and offline) with well defined KPIs, ensuring that performance goals are met.
This role reports to the Managing Director, and will be based in our Lagos office.
● Develop, implement and evaluate marketing strategies and plans for the company in Nigeria, with a focus on these core areas - building brand positioning and awareness, high quality lead generation, and customer acquisition and retention.
● Build awareness of the company’s products and services and ensure marketing strategies
support sales and lead generation efforts.
● Set clearly defined objectives and KPIs for the following: traffic, engagement, conversion; lead generation and sales; and other relevant performance / revenue metrics.
● Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the department. Review and
adjust communications budgets and timelines.
● Oversee planning, execution and continuous optimisation of all marketing campaigns, monitor progress, measure and report results using effective benchmarks.
● Analyze data and prepare dashboards to offer data-driven recommendations and informed,
fact-based solutions that improve performance and help to achieve business goals.
● Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary. Analyze consumer behavior and determine customer personas.
● Monitor competition (Acquisitions, price changes, new products and features).
● Craft quarterly and annual hiring plans.
● Uncover new growth opportunities (including new platforms, channels, and advertising and
integration opportunities) to acquire new customers and ensure the company maintains competitive edge.
● Ensure creatives used on all marketing channels are consistent with brand guidelines, fit for
purpose, targeted and compelling for maximum impact.
● Conduct market research and continually review the betting landscape to understand industry and consumer trends and competitor activity, in order to actively propose and implement innovative strategies to drive growth.
● Ensure all marketing activities reflect industry best practice and adhere to relevant internal and external guidelines and laws guiding the industry.
● Leadership and supervision responsibility for the marketing teams, including onboarding,
coaching, providing feedback, and ensuring good performance.
● Promote a work environment of continuous improvement, lead and manage team learning
sessions and facilitate knowledge sharing on an ongoing basis.
● Oversee the planning and execution of company promotional events and all other promotional activities.
● Work closely with the Managing Director and commercial team to support sales and other
lead generation efforts.
● Ensure synergies with other teams are maximized in order to achieve company wide goals, and closely collaborate with the international teams.
● Build relationships and strategic partnerships in the industry with relevant stakeholders.
● Represent the company at industry events, exploring relevant opportunities to promote the
company.
Qualifications
● Experience in the sports betting/ gaming industry in a growth and conversion focused
marketing role.
● Experience establishing organic and paid media strategies that integrate search, display, SEO, social media, email and mobile marketing.
● Budgeting and projections
● Expertise of digital media and marketing platforms and analytics tools such as Google AdWords, Facebook, Google Analytics, etc.
● Experience with managing affiliate marketing and partners.
● Experience with developing and managing offline marketing strategies.
● A strong understanding of B2C markets – audience segmentation, competitive landscape,
industry trends, emerging platforms, operational tactics, etc. - in a rapidly evolving ecosystem.
● Great analytical skills leveraging multiple data sources, with a proven ability to find
opportunities and actionable insights and clearly communicate them to stakeholders in a way
that they will understand.
● A strategic thinker and “doer” with a strong bias towards action.
● Highly organised, goal oriented, and can drive results while multi-tasking priorities.
● Excellent communication and project management skills.
● Great relationship-building skills to cultivate a network of marketing partners in the sports
betting industry.
