Description

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Good understanding of Kenyan tax laws and healthcare financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, maintain, and update accurate books of accounts and financial records.
  • Process payments, receipts, invoices, and ensure proper authorization and documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliation of patient bills and insurance claims.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support budget preparation, monitoring, control, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, hospital policies, and statutory requirements
  • Support internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard hospital financial and physical assets.
  • Liaise with procurement, billing, and clinical departments to ensure accurate costing and revenue capture.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive patient and financial information.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned.
